In addition, the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system offers you exclusive content, such as various media programs.

Windows 7 now makes it easier to do even more tasks right on the desktop: Improved taskbar previews, larger icons, pinning, and creative personalization options.

System requirements:

• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster, 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32 bit) or 2 GB RAM (64 bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space
• DirectX 9 graphics card with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Other requirements for certain functions:

• Depending on the resolution, additional memory and newer graphics hardware may be required for video playback.
• For optimal performance, some games and programs may require a graphics card compatible with DirectX 10 or higher.
• Some Windows Media Center features may require a TV tuner and additional hardware.
• Windows Touch and tablet PCs require certain hardware.
• Homegroups require a network of PCs running Windows 7.
• A compatible optical drive is required to create DVDs/CDs.
• BitLocker requires Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2.
• BitLocker To Go requires a USB flash drive.
• Windows XP mode requires an additional 1 GB of RAM and an additional 15 GB of available hard disk space
